RESPONSIBILITIES: SALES, ESTIMATING, CONTRACTING, PROJECT MANAGEMENT, CODE REVIEW, FIELD MANAGEMENT, RECRUITING, CONTRACT NEGOTIATION.
Contract Management responsibilities including review of design concepts, shop drawings, verification of material conformance to specifications and standards, final design compliance to codes and specifications, scheduling within the project requirements, start-up and testing.

During his 20 years with Shambaugh, Dominic has become one of the nation’s foremost fire protection authorities in the commercial and industrial industry. In addition to bringing extensive expertise to his clients, he oversees Shambaugh’s West Coast Operations from planning to fabrication, plans and directs critical projects from start to finish, and develops highly effective relationships with national contractors developers, and end users. Dominic has been directly involved with over $500-million of fire protection projects that he has developed from the Design-Build phase through project completion.
Expertise
Dominic’s construction experience began when he enrolled into Purdue’s Building Construction Management Program where he graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in 1998. Post-graduation he began his career with Shambaugh & Son as a project designer for the first three years in our Chicago Branch. From there Dominic became Chicago’s lead salesman, and then managed a team of estimators who focused their attention on the Chicago market, as well as managed national projects. In 2014 Dominic relocated West to assist in managing our newly acquired California group where in a very short time grew our West Coast team and became a dominant figure in the SoCal industrial market. Dominic’s current responsibilities include the entire coast to coast industrial and commercial market with work stemming from Florida all the way to Washington.
Over the years Dominic has assisted such major global and domestic clients as Kraft, Trader Joe’s, Sysco Foods, Amazon, Monster Energy, TNT Logistics, and Ford among others, with the design, installation, and maintenance of fire protection systems ranging from $1,000 to $12-million.
Dominic is a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). He is also a member of the Illinois Fire Protection Association, Mechanical Contractors of America, and is NICET Certified. Recent projects completed include:
